I started in the rescue world when I was a Senior in High School.  I needed a few more hours to earn the volunteer cord from Walton so I looked up volunteer opportunities near my home.  I signed up to volunteer at Good Mews for their shelter clean and feed program, eventually agreeing to foster.  It was a fulfilling year as we fostered 3 sets of kitten families before I graduated from HS.  Being introduced to this world carried my interest into my college years.
